The Oak View Park and Resource Center (OVPRC) is located at 555 Mahoney Drive in Oak View, CA. This Special Assessment District was formed for the preservation and maintenance of the former school site to offer public programs to the community. The facility is owned by the County of Ventura under the authority of the Parks Department. The facility is managed by Barbara Kennedy Enterprises. The Parks Department is responsible for the contracted preparation and submission to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors for approval of Intent to prepare the Engineer’s Report, the Intent to Levy and Public Hearing for approval of the assessment to homeowner’s each year. While the Park Department does contribute staff time annual to the Oak View Preservation & Maintenance District, the Parks Department does not bill their time to the assessment.
