Request for Encroachment Permit
This form will provide detail for evaluation to Ventura County Parks regarding your request for an Encroachment onto County property. A refundable deposit may be required for some permits to ensure compliance with permit General Conditions. The County of Ventura will not return deposit checks if a violation of permit General Conditions, or damage to the site is found to occur. The deposit amount, if any, to be returned to the permittee, is solely at the discretion of the Ventura County Parks Department. CHAPTER 3, DIVISION 6 OF THE VENTURA COUNTY ORDINANCE CODE CONCERNING COUNTY PARKS Sec. 6304-2 – Permit – Standards for Issuance – The Director shall issue a permit hereunder when he finds: (a) That the proposed activity or use of the park will not unreasonably interfere with or detract from the public enjoyment of the park; (b) That the proposed activity or use will not unreasonably interfere with or detract from the promotion of the public health, welfare, safety, or recreation; (c) That all conditions, including, where applicable, the payment of fees, approval of the Board of Supervisors, and insurance coverage, are met; (d) That the proposed activity or use is not reasonably anticipated to incite violence, crime or disorderly conduct; (e) That the proposed activity or use will not entail unusual, extraordinary, or burdensome expense or security operation by the Parks Department; and (f) That the facilities desired have not been reserved for other purposes. Sec. 6304-3 – Permit – Exhibition – Every person claiming to possess a permit must produce the permit upon request of any Parks Department employee or any public or peace officer.
